The application is very easy to use without any help, even a child can do it. The icons are very graphic, but we will explain them.
The application is universal and works on all IOS devices but have small differences on the iPad and iPhone and iPod Touch to adapt to different screen size.

On the home screen are four buttons to go to the main sections of the application and language selector. The main sections are Artists , Paintings , Museums and Shop . The language selector allows you to change the language of the texts in Spanish and English at any time.
Painters section begins with a screen with the most important painters in each delivery. Clicking on the picture goes to his biography.
At the bottom, or side when using the iPhone or iPod Touch in landscape mode, there are 6 buttons that will be common throughout the application. The 3 on the left will always be present and allow return to the previous screen, go to the search screen or go to the home screen . The 3 on the right lets you display a gallery of thumbnails, alphabetical list and chronological list. In the case of artists will show a gallery with portraits of painters, listed alphabetically by their stage names and chronological order from oldest to newest.
From the splash screen or from galleries or list, click on the picture or the name snds you to the screen of the biography of the painter. The upper part shows his artistic and full name, place and date of birth and death and his style as well as a biography with hypertexts that extend your information with other painters biographies, paintings, museums, artistic styles, history articles or other monuments.
At the bottom, buttons for gallery and listings, show us paintings of the artist available in the application.
The paintings section begins with a screen with the most outstanding works in each application. Clicking on one of them shows it full screen to zoom and pan. At the bottom, gallery and listing buttons show all available paintings on the application.
The paintings are initially sized to fill the screen. You can turn the device horizontally or vertically to see more naturally portraits or landscapes. You can zoom by pinching in the desired area or pan with a finger. The upper part shows the name and date of the picture and two arrows to go to the next or previous picture in a group if you came from a gallery or listin (to see the pictures of an author, a museum or a style) or among all the pictures of each application.
The bottom buttons change function and let go to the painting information screen, author and museum.
The painting information screen shows the name and alias of the painting, its author, date, technique, dimensions, museum and style. Also included is a full commentary, often with hypertext for other related paintings, authors, characters portrayed, etc..

The museum section begins with a screen with the most prominent museums in each application. Clicking on one of them comes to see the tab for the museum. At the bottom, the buttons show gallery and lists all the museums available in the application.
The museum screen shows the address, town and country of the museum as well as phone number. In most cases, there are two buttons, to view the website of the museum and its location on the Maps application. This allows you to access the most current information of each museum, in some cases you may even buy tickets, and you'll know their exact location and even guide you from your position if your device has GPS function.
At the bottom, buttons for gallery and listings, show us the pictures belonging to the museum that are available on the application.
The Shop section shows the applications from ARTEHISTORIA available on the Apple App Store, visit it whenever you want to know the new releases of this collection with your favorite painters and pictures. Also included is a link to directly send a message with any suggestions or questions about the collection.
Anytime you can press the search button (magnifying glass) to instantly search for text in the title and content of painters, paintings and museums. Click on the top bar to bring up the keyboard and the search button to search. It keeps the last search for related searches.
In addition to the information for paintings, artists and museums, we include additional information on styles and schools of art, materials and techniques, characters, monuments and historical facts. They can be accessed by hypertext and in the case of styles and materials schools can include galleries and lists of works belonging to the style or that use the material.
